Introducing: Comstor EMEA Team Triathlon Championship 2014

Paris (Fr) - 3 October 2013  -  Following the tremendous success of the Beat the Boss Triathlon Challenge, Andreas Dohmen launched the next sporting event, during the All hands session on 3 October. In 2014 every Comstor employee can participate in the EMEA Team Triathlon Championship.

How does it work?
Form a team, consisting of 2 Comstor athletes + 1 external athlete from Cisco or other vendor/customer in your country/region. Start training and take part in an official team relay triathlon event in your local area. Make sure to do the Olympic distance, so one person to swim 1500 m, one person tot cycle 40 km and 1 person to run 10 km.

Top of the Leader Board
Your team's result will be registered on the county/region Leader Board. Closing on 1st of August, the team at the top of this Leader board will go to the Final, to be held in a European city in September 2014. The teams of the GMs of each country and the EMEA executives will automatically qualify for the final.

The local Coach
Each country will have a local Coach who helps the teams with the organisation of their triathlon and their fundraising. Together with the coach the teams can start raising money in the form of sponsorship money collected from friends, family and colleagues. On 1st of August, each Comstor office will double the amount raised by the local teams on the local Leader Board before it is donated to the charity.

Wild Cards
The Race Director, Andreas Dohmen, has a certain number of Wildcards that he may or may not use to let teams enter the final. Wildcards can be given out to teams for exceptional fundraising or personal efforts, etc.

Registration
The event registration opens in January. But you can already create a team and start training and fundraising. Over the next few weeks you will receive more information on who your local coach is and where the final will be held.
