The Cotswold Water Park Arena

The Beat the Boss Challenge will take place during the Cotswold triathlon, held at the Cotswolds Water Park on the 15th of September 2013. Situated in south-west of England between Cirencester and Swindon the park is not, as the name might suggest, a water fun park with water slides and lazy rivers where our athletes can spend a day at their leisure. The large and unique wetland area consisting of 150 man-made lakes offers a stunning and unspoiled landscape and is great for many sports and activities.

Venue

With 100 km of footpaths and cycle routes winding their way around the lakes and lanes, the Park makes an excellent arena for the triathlon challenge. The 1500 m swim will take place in the fresh water lake around a set course. The 2 lap cycle circuit is a 41 km route which takes in some fantastic scenery around the Cotswolds. The athletes will finish with a spectator friendly 10 km off road run.

The Cotswold Water Park is part of the larger Cotswolds region, a range of hills stretching 40 km across and 145 km along, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Famous for its honey-colour limestone villages in a beautiful rural setting of grass and woodlands, the Cotswold is typically English with its rolling hills, thatched roof cottages, magnificent historic castles and grazing sheep.

The athletes won’t have much time to enjoy the scenery, but the spectators will! Do you want to come and see the athletes in action? Come to Lake 62, Cotswold Water Park, Ashton Keynes, SN6 6QX, or click here to find out how to get there.
