Which team of Comstor athletes will
Beat The Boss?
On the 15th of September 2013 Comstor managers will get the chance to beat their boss and at the same time raise funds for charity. The boss, Andreas Dohmen, EVP of Comstor EMEA, has challenged his management team to participate in a triathlon, held at Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester, UK.
The Olympic triathlon consists of a 1500 m swim, followed by a 41 km cycle and a 10 km run. While Andreas will go the full distance on his own, the teams of Comstor executives can pick their strongest swimmer, cyclist and runner to try and beat the boss’s time.
Six teams have signed up for the challenge. Although only one team can win, all participating teams can raise funds for charity by getting people to sponsor them. Supporters can sponsor their favorite team through the Beat the Boss website, while keeping up to speed with the teams’ training results and progress.
The chosen charity for this challenge is the Cirencester Opportunity Group, an independent play group where children with special needs can play and learn with other children. Comstor will double the total amount of sponsorship funds before it is donated to this charity. On top of that challenger Andreas Dohmen will personally double the amount of funds raised by the winning team from his own pocket.
Andreas Dohmen is himself an experienced triathlete and Ironman and has challenged his already competitive managers and their team-mates to get fit and to give him a good run for his money. In the next few months they will have to train hard and stretch their personal targets in order to make a difference for themselves, for the team and, most importantly, for the charity.
